The Bird
Photochallenge.org’s 2009 daily challenge #140, bird.
I had this great shot of a goldfinch on one of my back yard feeder before 9am today. I normally shoot the photchallenge subjects over my lunch hour or in the early evening, so when my lunch hour came around today I decided to head over to maplewood park and maybe shoot the geese there as a backup to my gold finch.
Well shortly after I arrived this Great Blue Heron showed up, and not only did he pose for me on land, he flew back and forth accross the pond several times, and then to top it off he decided to grab some lunch while i was there.
That is the second of two fish he caught and ate while I was there, in this small urban park.
