You have probably noticed by now, that the images featured on this site are really big. In fact if you have a screen resolution less than 1152 pixels wide and do not have your browser set to full screen, the site design breaks a bit, and the images go past the black background. You may even have to scroll right and left to see the whole image.
But lets face it, bigger is better when it comes to photographs. It just is.
Most recent computers, both desktop monitors and notebook lcd screens, are capable of displaying a width of 1280 pixels or wider. It’s for those displays that this site was designed.
However I have a trick for those of you who have no alternative.
Clicking will take you to my Zooomr page for that photograph where you can view it at a lower resolution. While there, you can also view the EXIF data (camera information) for the photograph as well as any GeoTagging (where in the world was this taken) info. So even if you are capable of viewing the image it may be worth clicking through anyway.
You may have noticed there aren’t many sites out there displaying such high resolution photographs by default. I am taking a bit of a risk in doing so. I risk not only alienating those of you with older systems or discount displays, but I also risk theft of my images. This is a calculated risk, and I do not endorse anyone using the image of any artist without permission, but I feel that the benefits of you being able to view my images in high resolution out weigh the risk of theft, at least at this point in my photography career.
Please don’t steal images, but please feel free to ask. I may just give you the image in the format and size you want.
