Turbo

Nothing like a good abstract for a Saturday image.  I appologize for the late start today, I’ve been a bit under the weather and my girls let me sleep in today.   What wonderful girls I have.

This is a close up of the inside of a rare Curtis-Wright Turbojet engine.  They had a cutaway at the Glenn Curtiss Museum.  I think the metal tabs are part of the air cooling system.  Air would pass through them wicking away heat.  I used a color-monochrome filter in Aperture add some dimension to an all grey image.

This is one of those images that I was just messing around with for fun, tossed it up to share on Zooomr and it instantly became one of my more popular images there.  It suprised the heck out of me.
