Fighting the good fight
As twilight ends, darkeness slowly surrounds the torch, ever shrinking it’s sphere of influence until the torch is the center of a tiny island of light. The last hold out against the night, at least, while there is oil to burn.
This was shot at Arrowhead Country Club, in Akron, NY on Halloween. I was there for a friend’s wedding, and a few of these torches held the night at bay around the patio, although the day was warm, the wind kept us inside most of the time anyway.
