Green Apples, on a checkerboard.   A normal thing in any one’s house, right?   Well it’s normal at my in-laws.   Although I can’t really pick on them too much, I bought them this checkerboard set many years ago.

It’s really a wonderful piece, red apples on one side, green on the other.  You can even king the “checkers” because the apples do stack, using the stems for stability.
