Deer in a field

I went way back into the archives for this one. I had to reopen some old Aperture libraries hunting down a different old photo for someone who contacted me on flickr.

In the process I stumbled accross this one, one of my personal favorites from the summer of 2008, but it was never a hugly popular photo. But thats always the way isn’t it, the audiance and the artist never totally agree. It’s probably the way it’s supposed to be.

Anyway, I posted it over on Google+ for #WildlifeWednesday, and figured why not post it here as well.

The rules of the game

I was inspired yesterday by +Gary Hegenbart wonderful tunnel photo processed in black & white. So knowing this image was in my todo pile I started off trying to recreate that look and feel, but I failed.

I couldn’t let go of the green mossy wall, and the blue grey of the gravel floor, I just couldn’t do it. I am weak, weak in the ways of the grey world I say.
