Deer in a field
I went way back into the archives for this one.   I had to reopen some old Aperture libraries hunting down a different old photo for someone who contacted me on flickr.
In the process I stumbled accross this one, one of my personal favorites from the summer of 2008, but it was never a hugly popular photo.  But thats always the way isn’t it, the audiance and the artist never totally agree.  It’s probably the way it’s supposed to be.
Anyway, I posted it over on Google+ for #WildlifeWednesday, and figured why not post it here as well.
Repost from the archives, for my enjoyment, and maybe yours as well.  ;-)

…and it will all happen again

...and it will all happen again.

I couldn’t believe how long it had been since I posted something here. My apologies, I will try and do better, the change of seasons here in the north east has is already inspiring me to get out and shoot more.

This is an HDR image of a field along Rt 370 between Rochester and Syracuse. A handheld three shot series shot from my car merged together in Photomatix.

Not really a flower

Not really a flower

Back into the archive today as I am still really behind in my processing. This image is from June of last year, just a few weeks after I purchased my Canon XSi (450D).

I stumbled upon this field of wild flowers in Webster and spent an hour there shooting instead of picking up the hardware I needed to finish my projects. I went back this summer to the same spot and the same field is all grass, with almost no flowers…
